Setting the tone for a good night’s sleep typically means that you fall asleep within 20 minutes.
With kids, and especially teens, these are great questions. Personally and luckily, I have always been a great overall sleeper. When I was a child, I would tell my mom that I was tired and ready for bed. As I grew up, she would frequently mention how this made her life so much easier; I get that now that I have kids!
these are my top four tips
This is an important topic and a tough one, not just for kids/teens, but for all. We need our sleep, but unfortunately, many people do not get enough sleep or enough good-quality sleep. This is a problem. When we sleep, the body goes into cell reproduction and repair mode, tissue growth occurs, our energies are restored, we transfer short-term memories into long-term storage, your nervous system has a chance to relax, and, some scientists think it is a time to process unwanted feelings or emotions. As you can see, a lot of important stuff happens when you are getting your Zs.

evening rituals
When the evening begins to settle in, dim you lights. This helps prepare the brain to begin making melatonin for sleep and decrease cortisol.
magnesium glycinate
A highly absorbable form of magnesium you can take. Some research has shown that glycine improves how you feel after a good night’s rest.
hot shower
I love hydrotherapy. Using water to help settle your nervous system switching it into a parasympathetic mode, can be very helpful for your zzzs.
listen to pink noise
We have typically heard about white noise, and the energy of that sound signal while we sleep. However, Pink noise is receiving lots of attention, mostly likely due to how it reflects what we hear in nature.
