Sweet Passionate Love Herbs … ( surprising ones!)

February 12, 2018 By Dr. Heather

Basil

It’s spicy, sweet and bright green herb mostly served in Italian foods has the very meaning of love.

a little love suggestion: Begin your Valentine’s meal with a basil pesto served with crackers.

Hisbicus

Known for its sweet taste, deep red hue and it’s desire to create some love and lust.

a little love suggestion: Perhaps make a before dinner drink with champagne and a splash of hibiscus tea or juice.

Damiana

Damiana leaves are a very  well-known aphrodisiac in Mexico and South America. In fact, the leaves have been used in many spells of sexuality and love.

a little love suggestion: After dinner, brew up some damiana tea. It will be an easy find in the tea department of your local health foods store

Rosemary

Rosemary has been used for centuries to decorate churches for wedding ceremonies. It’s  said that rosemary evokes love and fidelity.

a little love suggestion: Plan your dinner meal around using rosemary –  a roasted chicken and red carrots ( see below!).

Lavender

The herb of love.

a little love suggestion: Instead of giving roses, give long stems of lavender or use a vase full of lavender at the dinner table to add some color, fragrance and LOVE.

Happy Heart Day

PS Carrots are known aphrodisiac ….  find the red variety and serve them as part of you Valentine’s meal!

Schedule A Consultation
First Visit

We discuss your symptoms and what is going on with your health.

From our conversation, I draw up a treatment plan that will be sent to you within 24 hours with any suggested supplements and/or lab work. Depending on your location, we will determine the best place to have the lab work performed. Any necessary prescriptions will be sent from Fullscript where you can easily create an account and fulfill online.

Note: I usually suggest blood work and other labs in a 1st session to look at body biomarkers so that we can match symptoms to what is happening in the body and then make sure to align diet and lifestyle from there.
